Supporting Members

Arizona Lawyers Foundation welcomes as its members lawyers who have a cause in life bigger than themselves. We welcome newly admitted, actively licensed, retired, inactive, moved-on, or any other variation, including law professors, in-house corporate lawyers, snow-bird lawyers, and lawyers from the lesser states. The only consistent requirement is an interest in supporting the Rule of Law over the Rule of Power. Our democracy is at risk when lawyers no longer care about rules, decorum, and fealty to their oaths and their ancestry. We are proud to challenge the new age of attacking judges, rank partisanship in legislative circles, and disobedience of the common courtesy in legal and judicial circles. We adhere to Arizona’s historic “Court First—Client Second” doctrine.

Sustaining Members ($100)

From 2007 to 2017, members on our website were limited to lawyers with 10 years of Arizona licensure, sans disciplinary actions, and who were peer reviewed before acceptance. In 2018, the former entity was converted to an Arizona nonprofit corporation. What was a lawyer validation company became a foundation focused on protecting the Rule of Law in Arizona and our Independent Judiciary.

Effective January 1, 2020 all lawyers irrespective of licensure anywhere are welcome to become members listed on this website in support of our nonprofit mission.

Most importantly, we welcome as members lawyers who have a cause in life bigger than themselves. Bigger even than the bottom lines in their law practices. Join us and let us help you with pro bono publico and help us give strength and sustenance to other Arizona legal nonprofits. We are the United Way of the legal community.

The financial math is simple. After allowance for operating expenses, all net revenues will be used to support our nonprofit mission. Information about that mission is available here. We suggest a donation of at least $100 per member on an annual basis. Part of your donation will be used to financially support many other legal nonprofit organizations, deliver a Speaker Series featuring Lawyers Who Make a Difference, and supporting CLE programs that focus on nonprofit work and opportunities.
